There are many reason why pit bulls are awesome. Here are 10 reasons:
1. Pit bulls will love you unconditionally.
Every time I get home from school or work, Bones (my pit bull) is there waiting. He gets so happy and excited every time I get home. He walks around smiling, wagging his tail, and sits right by me when I sit down.
2. They will protect you.
A common stereotype I hear for pit bulls is “vicious”. People will see a pit bull and become frightened. Pit bulls will protect you just by looking how they look; without having to bark or anything.
3. They are famous.
The dog in the movie The Little Rascals is a pit bull.
4. They are obedient.
We have been working with Bones for the last couple of months. He has been very responsive to training. He will come when you call his name, he sits, lays down, shakes, etc.
5. They are great ice breakers.
Every time I take my dog out, people stop me and tell me stories about pit bulls. Everyone has something to say whether it’s facts, myths, opinions, etc. It’s a great way to meet new people.
6. They eat anything.
They eat literally anything and everything.
7. They do not have locking jaws.
It’s a myth.
8. They are loyal.
They will be your friend forever.
9. They need to be rescued.
Pit bulls make up the largest percentage of dogs in shelters across the United States.
10. They will show you that they are awesome.
